Space is at a premium on our site at Horbury and we recently took the decision to invest in a cantilevered racking system to allow us to improve how we stack and store our bulk materials.
The installation of the new racking system is now complete and has reduced the amount of space we use for bulk storage of timber by two thirds. This gives us additional storage locations for our finished products, allowing us to improve our loading processes and gives us quicker turnaround times for loading and unloading wagons.
Our focus as a business has always been on providing exceptional customer service and high-quality products whilst maintaining lead times that work for our customers. Consistently pushing TimberStruc to improve, our directors Jon & Tim continue to make the small incremental improvements in our processes to benefit the business and its customers
Commenting on the new investment, Jon said: The growth we have seen over the last 2 ½ years has been staggering. Without this approach of continually looking to improve, adapt and change, we would not have been able to deliver for our customers.
It’s not always about large financial expenditures but more about the results that more minor, strategic investments can bring to the business. So I’m thrilled that our new cantilever racking is assembled and installed in our yard, and we can take on additional projects for our clients while maintaining the exact quick lead times required.
